Sunday, February 16, Marquee Dayclub made history, throwing Las Vegas’ very first winter pool party during President’s Day Weekend. Joining forces with Insomniac to host the third annual Halfway to EDC bash, the event celebrated the six-month countdown to EDC Las Vegas. DJs Dash Berlin, Candyland, Paris Blohm, Firebeatz, Kennedy Jones and Jason Lema composed the talented lineup of heavy hitters as thousands of guests poured onto the rooftop venue, 17 stories above Las Vegas Blvd, to witness the monumental event.
Featuring a sound and lighting system unlike any seen before on a Las Vegas pool deck, the 22,000-square-foot temperature-controlled Dayclub Dome made its debut in grand fashion, keeping the space 15 to 20 degrees warmer than outside temperatures. The dome allowed party goers to rave from sun up to sun down as revelry ran late into the evening, marking a historic day for both Marquee and dayclub trends to follow.
The high energy party later transitioned into a multi-level nightlife experience. From the most-watched Super Bowl halftime performance to a residency at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas’ The Chelsea theatre, Bruno Mars took over Marquee Nightclub with his official concert after party. Performing for a sold-out crowd at The Chelsea earlier Sunday evening, the Grammy-award winning artist was greeted by mass applause and cheers as he entered the venue and settled into a VIP table in the main room. Joined by a large group of friends, the soulful crooner jumped on stage to address the crowd, surprising fans with an impromptu performance of smash hits “Locked Out of Heaven” and “Bubble Butt.” Setting off a sea of flashes, Bruno thanked guests for partying with him as DJ Havana Brown kept the club anthems rolling.
Actor Darren Criss from “Glee” was also spotted at Marquee Nightclub with girlfriend Mia Swier.
