UNLV WOMEN’S BASKETBALL HOSTS COLORADO STATE ON PLAY 4KAY NIGHT ON WEDNESDAY
Lady Rebels have won the last three meetings in Las Vegas against the current front-runners in the MW
The UNLV women’s basketball team is holding its annual breast cancer awareness night, Play 4Kay, on Wednesday night at 7 pm in what is also a matchup with the top team in the Mountain West, as Colorado State brings an 8-1 league record into the Cox Pavilion. UNLV will be wearing its pink jerseys for the game, while their pre-game shooting shirts are being raffled off during the contest to help raise money for the Kay Yow Foundation. All fans wearing pink to the game will receive $2 admission, while kids 12 and under are always free to Lady Rebel games.
The Lady Rebels are tied for third meanwhile at 6-3, and need a win to keep within distance of the Rams in the regular season race. This will also mark the second straight game UNLV is facing a team on a five-game win streak following this past Saturday’s loss at Boise State, who used the win to move into sole possession of second in the MW at 7-2. UNLV meanwhile hopes to avoid losing back-to-back games for the first time in conference play.
One advantage for the Lady Rebels is the location of the game, having won the previous three meetings in Las Vegas against the Rams. UNLV has also won three straight at home, by an average of 17 points a game. CSU meanwhile is 3-1 on the road this year in the MW, but two of the three wins were by a combined eight points.
There will be a live webcast of the game, thanks to the UNLV-TV student production group, that will be featured on the Mountain West Network at UNLVRebels.com. while the UNLV radio broadcast, featuring the call from Adam Candee, Dominique Harris and Jesse Vineyard, is available on KSHP 1400 AM and also off a link at UNLVRebels.com.
