UNLV WOMEN’S BASKETBALL FACES TOP TWO TEAMS IN MW OVER NEXT WEEK
Second-place Lady Rebels at fellow second-place Boise State Saturday, host first-place Colorado State Wednesday
The UNLV women’s basketball team has moved back into the top three of the Mountain West, but now face one of its two toughest two-game stretches of the conference season. The Lady Rebels will first play on the road on Saturday at 1 pm (PT) at Boise State, who are tied for second in the MW along with UNLV. That game will be followed by a home contest against first-place Colorado State on Feb. 5 in Las Vegas.
Saturday matches up the top two three-point shooting teams in the MW, as UNLV leads the league at 37.0% (44.9% in MW games), while Boise is second in league games at 34.4%. A win by UNLV would tie for its best MW start at 7-2. The only other Lady Rebel squad to win seven of its first nine MW games as the 2003-04 squad, who would finish 10-4.
Live video of the game will be available on the Mountain West Network at UNLVRebels.com. while the UNLV radio broadcast, featuring the call from Adam Candee, is available on KSHP 1400 AM and also off a link at UNLVRebels.com.
