With electrifying dance at its core, FLASHDANCE – THE MUSICAL tells the inspiring and unforgettable story of Alex Owens, a Pittsburgh steel mill welder by day and a bar dancer by night with dreams of one day becoming a professional performer. When romance with her steel mill boss threatens to complicate her ambitions, Alex learns the meaning of love and its power to fuel the pursuit of her dream. Even though the title of his fifth album, “Mountains of Sorrow, Rivers of Song” alludes to a somber feeling, Amos Lee contrarily reflects joyously over 12 achingly beautiful tracks about life, love and the ways people connect with each other. Through a fusion of country, folk, and blues influences Amos has become known for his James Taylor-esque vocals and has opened for such acts as Adele, Bob Dylan, Elvis Costello, Paul Simon and Jack Johnson. On “Mountains of Sorrow,” Lee infuses country, joined on tracks by bluegrass phenom Alison Krauss and Grammy® Award-winner Patty Griffin. So far, critical response to “Mountains of Sorrow, Rivers of Song” has been positive, with The New York Times hailing it a “serenely sure-footed effort” and music magazine, Elmore calling it Lee’s “finest yet.”

Kristen Hertzenberg is a classically trained singer best known for starring in her dream role as “Christine Daae” in Phantom – The Las Vegas Spectacular. Her new solo show is a glimpse into the influences outside of theatre and opera that have shaped her musical experience and Hertzenberg’s offerings include country, rock ‘n’ roll, folk, jazz, blues and more. The acclaimed singer Clint Holmes, named Las Vegas Entertainer of the Year three times, Singer of the Year four times and awarded the Sammy Davis Jr. Foundation award, is bringing his intimate New York show to Cabaret Jazz. With carefully arranged compositions inspired by his early family life, Clint showcases varying moods, styles and tempos, captivating the audience the whole way through. A charismatic performer, musician and actor, made famous for his piano/lead vocals in the Broadway Musical Movin’ Out, Michael Cavanaugh is the new voice of the American Rock and Roll Songbook. Michael Cavanaugh was handpicked by Billy Joel to star in title role and evokes a style rivaling the Piano Man. His work on Broadway culminated in 2003 with both Grammy and Tony award nominations.

Labeled “The Torch Song Diva,” by The New York Times, this entrancing performer takes audiences on a journey through her nearly five decades-long career – from her start as Barbra Streisand’s understudy in Broadway’s “Funny Girl” to appearing on “The Dean Martin Show” a record 26 times, to her beloved turn as Maria Portokalis in the hit film “My Big Fat Greek Wedding.”
