UNLV WOMEN’S BASKETBALL OPENS CONFERENCE PLAY ON NEW YEAR’S AGAINST LEAGUE FAVORITE FRESNO STATE
Lady Rebels looking to begin Mountain West play with a win for the third straight year
For only the fourth time in the 40-year history of UNLV women’s basketball the team will play on New Year’s Day as the Lady Rebels open Mountain West play by hosting the preseason favorite Fresno State Bulldogs on Wednesday afternoon at 12 pm in the Cox Pavilion. All-time UNLV is 2-1 when playing on January 1, and the team is also 7-7 in Mountain West openers, including wins the past two seasons.
