South Point Hotel & Casino’s Don Vito’s Italian, Silverado Steak House and Primarily Prime Rib invite guests to celebrate the Christmas holiday with a specialty menu on Christmas Day.

Don Vito’s three-course menu will feature:

  • First Course: Eggplant & Brie Soup or Classical Caesar Salad.
  • Second Course: Roasted Turkey Dinner ($29), served with apple sage dressing, fresh seasonal vegetables, glazed yams, mashed potatoes with gravy and a side of cranberry sauce; Osso Bucco ($35), featuring a veal shank slowly simmered with garden vegetables, polenta, herbs and a red wine sauce; or Alaskan Halibut with King Crab ($32), served with a side of cranberry and pine nut rice, artichokes, sautéed baby spinach and topped with a saffron dill sauce.

Silverado Steak House’s $49 four-course Christmas Day menu includes:

Primarily Prime Rib’s $29 three-course menu will have:

  • First Course: Tossed Winter Salad or Chicken Consomme.
  • Second Course: Traditional Roast Turkey, topped with a sage dressing, glazed yams, mashed potatoes with gravy, fresh seasonal vegetables and cranberry sauce; a 10-ounce Roast Prime Rib of Beef, slowly cooked for the fullest flavor; Chicken Francaise served with lemon butter sauce; Black and Blue Medallions of Beef, featuring two medallions dusted with Cajun seasoning and sprinkled with bleu cheese crumbles; or a pan-seared Chilean Sea Bass Neapolitan, served with sautéed spinach and roma tomatoes topped with a lime beurre blanc. South Point Hotel & Casino’s Coronado Café, Don Vito’s Italian Primarily Prime Rib and Silverado Steak House invite guests to ring in the New Year with specially prepared New Year’s Eve menus.

Silverado Steak House’s $75 four-course New Year’s Eve menu is served with bottle of wine for each party of two and includes:

  • First Course: Shrimp Cocktail, King Crab Cake and Corn Cake Tower with a sweet red pepper sauce or Chicken Satay with a mild curry beurre blanc.
  • Second Course: Lobster Bisque or Garden Fresh Salad with champagne vinaigrette.
  • Third Course: Halibut Princess, poached with asparagus tips, teardrop tomatoes and lemon beurre blanc; an 8-ounce Filet Mignon, topped with béarnaise sauce; Scaloppini of Venison, topped with sundried cherries and a wild mushroom and red currant cream; Chicken Chasseur, sautéed with red wine, mushrooms, tomatoes and tarragon; Shrimp Scampi, sautéed in garlic butter; or Grilled Lamb Chops, marinated in garlic and served on rosemary polenta with mustard seed jus. All entrées include seasonal vegetables, rice pilaf and the choice of roast chateau or Yukon gold mashed potatoes
  • Fourth Course: Dessert includes the choice of Hazelnut Mousse Cake, Rum Bara or Peach Melba, served with coffee or tea.

Don Vito’s Italian $55 four-course New Year’s Eve menu is served with a cocktail of choice and includes:

  • First Course: Bruschetta with Mediterranean salsa, Shrimp Cocktail or Shrimp and Lobster Cannelloni.
  • Second Course: Stracciatella Soup, Mixed Green Salad or Caesar Salad
  • Third Course: Chicken Don Vito’s, stuffed with lemon and ricotta topped with a light butter sauce; Shrimp Scampi, sautéed with garlic butter served over linguini; Garlic Crusted Sea Bass, featuring a pan-fried Chilean sea bass served with an oven roasted tomato butter sauce; Veal Marsala, sautéed with shallots, mushrooms and marsala wine; Osso Bucco, a slowly braised veal shank served with a vegetable sauce and risotto; or Filet Mignon, broiled and served with Madeira mushroom sauce. For an additional $30, guests may complement the Filet Mignon with a Lobster Tail. All entrées include a side of pasta and seasonal vegetables.
  • Fourth Course: Dessert features a creamy Tiramisu, Zabaglione with fresh berries or a Champagne Sorbet with seasonal raspberries, served with the choice of coffee or tea.

Primarily Prime Rib’s $45 four-course New Year’s Eve menu is served with a cocktail of choice and includes:

  • First Course: A Shrimp Cocktail, Spicy Shrimp on eggplant or Duck Strudel with red currant compote.
  • Second Course: For an appetizer, guests have the choice of a Lobster Bisque, tableside tossed Dinner Salad or Caesar Salad.
  • Third Course:  Chicken Florentine Wrapped in Prosciutto, served with sautéed spinach, mushroom and boursin cheese wrapped with prosciutto; Prime Rib, dry-aged and slowly cooked for full flavor; New York Strip, broiled with mushrooms and herb butter; Sautéed White Sea Bass, topped with blue crab, teardrop tomatoes and beurre blanc; or Surf and Turf, featuring a beef medallion with a Merlot reduction and sautéed garlic shrimp. Baja Miguel’s Mexican $24 three-course New Year’s Eve special is served with the choice of a traditional or strawberry margarita and includes:

  • First Course: A choice of Smoked Duck and Sweet Corn Tamale Cake or a Ceviche dish.
  • Second Course: Baja Miguel’s Surf & Turf Fajitas, medallions of beef filet and lobster tail served with grilled peppers, onions, beans and Spanish rice or Tequila Salmon served with oven roasted tomatoes and a chipotle lime cream.

$7.95 Coronado Café Daily Specials

South Point’s Coronado Café continues to offer guests a $7.95 daily special from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Monday: Diners have the option of a delicious Roast Loin of Pork with pan gravy, red cabbage and freshly mashed potatoes or a Classic Chef’s Salad with chopped iceberg and romaine lettuce topped with turkey, ham, salami, Swiss and American cheeses, tomato, hard boiled eggs and a choice of dressing.

Tuesday: South Point guests may select from an Oven Baked Homemade Meatloaf with a mushroom sauce served with freshly mashed potatoes and vegetables or a Greek Chicken Salad with romaine lettuce, chicken breast, feta cheese, cucumber, tomato, green peppers and kalamata olives tossed in an herbed vinaigrette dressing.

Wednesday: South Point guests have the option to enjoy a Swiss Steak simmered in a rich red wine sauce served with buttered noodles and vegetables or a Barbeque Chicken Salad with diced grilled chicken breast, tomato, bacon, black beans, cut corn and grated cheddar cheese topped with a barbeque ranch dressing.

Thursday: South Point guests have the option of Chicken a la King featuring a sliced poached chicken breast with pimentos in a cream sauce laying on a bed of rice pilaf or a Grilled Steak Salad with seared beef tenderloin on top of crisp romaine lettuce tossed with green onions, cherry tomatoes, blue cheese and a light balsamic vinaigrette dressing.

Friday: South Point’s Coronado Café menu will feature a Seafood Creole including scallops, shrimp and select seafood in a Creole sauce of onions, peppers and tomatoes with southern spices and a side of rice pilaf.  Guests also have the option of a Citrus Glazed Chicken Salad with diced chicken, field greens, blue cheese, tomatoes, cranberries and honey glazed pecans tossed in a citrus vinaigrette dressing.

Saturday: South Point guests have the option of selecting from a Flat Iron Steak with a red wine sauce and crumbled blue cheese with a side of freshly mashed potatoes and vegetables or Chicken Bruschetta with grilled chicken served on ciabatta bread and topped with a pesto cream sauce and diced tomatoes with basil garlic French fries.

Sunday: South Point diners can enjoy a Roasted Turkey with sage dressing, freshly mashed potatoes, gravy, glazed yams and a side of vegetables or a Tequila Lime Chicken Bake including marinated chicken strips grilled with sweet red and green peppers, tossed with penne pasta, tomatoes and cilantro in a salsa cream sauce.
