Special Batman Edition Of Drake Comic Book And Cory Monteith Tribute

drakeBluewater Productions newest biography comic book release this week features a re-release of the “Fame: Drake” comic book featuring a new Batman homage cover by famed comic book artist O.M.G. (aka Mario Gully) and a tribute comic book on Glee star Cory Monteith.

The issue featuring Monteith is being released in cooperation with, and at the urging of the recently passed star’s fan club the “Montourage”.  According to Bluewater president Darren Davis, percent of the proceeds of the book will be donated to a series of charities identified by Montourage in which Monteith was an active supporter including To Write Love on her Arms and Chrysalis LA.

The comic book showcases the talent of a life that was cut to short.  Tribute: Cory Monteith shows the star from his troubled beginnings to his international success as the character Finn on the hit show Glee.

Written by CW Cooke and drawn by Beniamino Bradi with a cover by Brent Sprecher, the novella-sized issue features a heartfelt special forward penned by Montourage president Ravital Zabarsky.

“Words cannot describe how much he will be missed,” said Zabarsky. “He has been a major impact on helping me become who I am today and I know that so many could say the same. He and his legacy will always be a part of our hearts as we remind ourselves that now he’s just smiling at us all from above – our angel simply got his wings”.

Also out this week is a re-release of the biography of Aubrey Graham, better known to the world as Drake. Inspired by a famous 1970’s comic book cover, this homage, this collector’s edition issue features the hip hop star in the guise of the Dark Knight.

He made a name for himself as the wheelchair bound Jimmy Brooks on “Degrassi: the Next Generation” He went from Canadian teen-melodrama to the hip hop star that worked with Lil Wayne’s stable of musicians with the comic “Fame: Drake.”
