GOLDEN RAINBOW UNVEILS HEADLINERS JON SECADA AND MICHAEL GRIMM  FOR THE 27TH ANNUAL “RIBBON OF LIFE” FUNDRAISING PRODUCTION ON SUNDAY, JUNE 30

Tickets still available at www.goldenrainbow.org

Golden Rainbow reveals its lineup for the 27th annual “Ribbon of Life” production including performances by world-renowned, two-time GRAMMY winning singer Jon Secada and NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” star Michael Grimm. The fundraiser will take place at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts at 1p.m. on Sunday, June 30.

Secada is a singer and songwriter with two GRAMMY Awards, 20 million albums sold and starring roles on Broadway. Adored by millions around the world, Secada has been recognized as an international superstar by both fans and peers for his soulful and melodic voice. He is currently celebrating 20 years of hits with the release of his new single, “I’m Never Too Far Away.” Beyond music, Secada devotes himself to assisting various charitable groups all over the world through his personal organization, “Jon Secada Charities.” Among them, Secada has been active with AIDS research groups.

Grimm took home first place on season five of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” and headlined the first-ever national “America’s Got Talent Tour.” The Southern charmer continued to tour with legendary artist Stevie Nicks and debuted his first major label release in the spring of 2011. His passion for giving back was evident when he rebuilt his grandparent’s house following Hurricane Katrina devastation.

This year’s extravaganza, “Tributes,” will feature a wide spectrum of tribute-themed performances from contemporary to classic, Broadway to film, pop to hip-hop, comedy and more. Aside from Secada and Grimm, the exciting lineup will include Clint Holmes, Josh Strickland, George Wallace, Frankie Marino, Reva Rice; vocal groups Mo5aic, The Las Vegas Tenors, The Phat Pack, Celebrity City Chorus; members from Human Nature, Jubilee!, VEGAS! the Show; and many more. Additional performances to be announced closer to the fundraiser.

In 2012, “Ribbon of Life” drew a record-setting crowd of 1,630. The performance raised more than $200,000, topping the previous year by $40,000, for the HIV/AIDS nonprofit. Memorable numbers included “Rhythm Of Life” by Phantom – The Las Vegas Spectacular, “Circle of Life” by children’s group Broadway in the Hood, “Rock of Ages,” by the famous Las Vegas Tenors, “Suite From Porgy and Bess” by Clint Holmes and more.

“Ribbon of Life” is one of the largest HIV/AIDS fundraisers in the state of Nevada and the Golden Rainbow’s main source of revenue. The fundraising spectacular is unlike any other production in the city and features some of the best performers from premier shows on the Las Vegas Strip. Showcasing new numbers and talent, each year’s audience is always surprised, thrilled and inspired by the performances that are exclusive to the event.

Tickets for Golden Rainbow’s 27th annual “Ribbon of Life” fundraising production are still on sale and are available for purchase at The Smith Center Box Office, thesmithcenter.com, ticketmaster.com or by calling 702-749-2000.
