Stratosphere Theater hosts first of a series of planned Showbiz Roasts featuring well-known Las Vegas entertainers

Andy Walmsley Entertainment (AWE) presents the Showbiz Roast of Zowie Bowie Chris Phillips, bringing the show business community of Las Vegas together to experience the camaraderie rarely enjoyed since the golden era of the Rat Pack.
Zowie Bowie Chris Phillips has become one of the most well known acts in Las Vegas, bringing a unique blend of today’s hottest dance, hip-hop, top 40 and vintage Las Vegas music to audiences every week.  Phillips was recently named Readers’ Choice “Best of Las Vegas 2013” by the Las Vegas Review Journal for lounge performer and tribute show.  Friday, April 5 marks the seven-year anniversary of Zowie Bowie’s residency at the Red Rock Casino.

WHEN:  Tuesday, April 23

TIME:  Pre-show mingling at 10:30 p.m., Roast begins at approximately 11 p.m., after party immediately follows the show.

WHERE:  Stratosphere Theater (on the second floor of Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower

WHO: Lead by “Roastmaster” Mike Hammer, local celebrities and celebrity groups including George Wallace, Gordie Brown, Robin Leach, Dennis Bono, Frankie Scinta, Vinnie Favorito, Clint Holmes, Murray, BBR Las Vegas (A Blonde, A Brunette and A Redhead), Recycled Percussion, Brian Thomas, Johnny Kats, Kelly Clinton, Lorena Peril and Dayna Roselli will take to the stage to celebrate, tease and lovingly poke fun at Zowie Bowie’s own Chris Phillips and their fellow roasters. Some celebrities will put their roasts to music, backed by the Zowie Bowie Band.  Surprise guests and an on-stage bar will fuel the ferocity providing hysterical fun all with a tongue in cheek affection for fellow Showbiz pals. Celebrities in attendance are encouraged to walk the red carpet and enjoy the roast.
