THE COSMOPOLITAN OF LAS VEGAS MAKES SUMMER COOL WITH THE UNIQUE AND UNEXPECTED AT THE POOL DISTRICT
The 2013 season features the return of, Dive-In Movies, Bubbles & Brunch, The Neapolitan of Las Vegas
and a new concept – Set Your Life to Music

DIVE-IN MOVIES
Following an overwhelming response during its first two seasons, Dive-In Movies will once again transform the 65-ft Strip-side digital marquee at Boulevard Pool into a colossal movie screen on Monday nights with a special Dive-In double feature with 7 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. screenings. From classic films to major blockbusters, Dive-In Movies allows visitors to take a dip or lounge poolside while sipping specialty cocktails and enjoying traditional movie snacks under the stars.

SET YOUR LIFE TO MUSIC
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas introduces the Set Your Life To Music, a new kind of concert series starting this spring. From the smell of the grill to the spirit of the music, guests can get lost in the brilliance of twilight as the sun sets over Boulevard pool an all-encompassing, backyard experience unlike any other.  The series will feature live performances from the likes of Hot Chip [April 18], Matt & Kim [May 30], Ryan Bingham [June 13], and Gary Clark Jr. [Aug. 8]. Doors open at 7 p.m. with celebrated DJ Mike Attack spinning before headliners take the stage at 9 p.m.  Guests are encouraged to bring their swimwear.

Specially-designed food from the grill, like a Mexican-style Corn, can be enjoyed with a selection of punch-style cocktails such as the Berry Sangria with Crème de Cassis, “Tess,” basil and berries; and the Tini Bikini with Smirnoff Orange Vodka, Pama Pomegranate Liqueur and lemon created by The Cosmopolitan’s resident mixologists.

THE NEAPOLITAN OF LAS VEGAS
Making its return to the Boulevard Pool this season is The Neapolitan of Las Vegas, opening the first week of May. The indoor/outdoor bar serves playful, booze-driven concoctions, from infused ice cream sundaes to liquid nitrogen sorbets. Constructed as a refreshing air-conditioned bar in the midst of the sunny Boulevard Pool Deck, The Neapolitan allows guests to escape the heat with cool spiked sweets and innovative beverages. Inspired by the colors of Neapolitan ice cream, the bar’s décor features modular and modern furniture splashed with strawberry pink, chocolate brown and vanilla.

Mixologists hand-blend adult popsicles such as the Lovely Bunch of Coconuts with Don Q Coconut, pineapple juice and coconut cream, and The Watermelon Patch with Blanco Tequila, Orange curacao, watermelon, orange and lime juices. Other drinks offered include floats, blended frozen drinks, smoothies and spiked sorbets and shakes. This year, experience The Banana Split, a combination of Strawberry, Banana, Chocolate and Vanilla dots–a boozy take on the Dippin Dots ice cream. SnoBar liquor ice creams are available, as well.

MARQUEE DAYCLUB
Marquee Dayclub will open for its third season with a party on April 6 featuring special DJ talent and celebrity guests.  2013 will be highlighted by programming from Marquee’s resident DJs encompassing the world’s premier electronic music artists and is the exclusive venue for Kaskade’s Summer Lovin’ residency.  The venue features two pools, several bars and a gaming area, along with cabanas boasting infinity edge dipping pools and luxurious overnight bungalows which overlook the party.  Days spent dancing or basking in the sun are made complete with well thought out amenities while a specialty cocktail and food menu from Corporate Executive Chef Ralph Scamardella fuels the party.
