New York-New York kicks off Irish festival by lighting the Statue of Liberty nightly
WHAT: New York-New York Hotel & Casino is painting the town green for St. Patrick’s Day, beginning with Lady Liberty. Every night March 11 – 18, New York-New York will illuminate the Statue of Liberty in a vibrant hue of green to commemorate Celtic Feis, the annual three-day Irish festival over St. Patrick’s Day weekend at Nine Fine Irishmen and the Brooklyn Bridge. The biggest celebration of Irish culture on the Las Vegas Strip, Celtic Feis festivities include live entertainment, specialty cocktails and Irish authentic cuisine.
The event kicks off on Friday, March 15, at 7 p.m. with a parade for all ages through New York-New York led by Desert Skye Pipe Band. Entry on Friday and Saturday is free, and admission on Sunday is $25 including a pint of Guinness or a Jameson shot. The event is open to guests ages 21 and up.
