The UNLV men’s basketball team will open the second half of its Mountain West schedule on Saturday, Feb. 9, at 6 p.m. against No. 15/16 New Mexico at the Thomas & Mack Center. A large crowd is expected as only about 1,000 tickets remained available to the public as of Friday morning.

UNLV played five of its first eight conference games on the road this season and comes into Saturday’s game having lost two straight: at Boise State (77-72) last Saturday and at Fresno State (64-55) on Wednesday. The Runnin’ Rebels are 12-1 on Tarkanian Court this season, which includes 10 straight wins heading into Saturday’s contest. In addition, UNLV has won 30 of its last 31 regular-season games at the TMC and has won each of its last 12 regular-season home games against MW opponents.

Saturday’s game will be televised by NBC Sports Network with Paul Burmeister and Stan Van Gundy calling the action, while Jon Sandler and Robert Smith will handle the UNLV radio call, which may be heard live in Las Vegas on ESPN Radio 1100 AM/98.9 FM and online at UNLVRebels.com through the subscription-based All-Access feature.

UNLV leads the all-time series with New Mexico 28-18. The Lobos won this season’s first meeting, 65-60, at The Pit on Jan. 9.

Tickets to Saturday’s game start at $25 if purchased in advance of the day of the game.
