A portion of the sale of each pancake benefits the organization through local team

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Hash House A Go Go will support the many Las Vegans who will be participating in a Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk (www.the3day.org) in one of 13 cities across the U.S.  This year’s fundraising efforts will go to “The Knocker Walkers for Teri’s Tatas” team headed by Las Vegan Carol Broeland, a multiple- year walker.

Created by Chef Anthony Vidal, the ‘Cake for the Cure pancake includes the “berry breast” natural ingredients for breast cancer prevention plus their famous batter mixed with a variety of fresh fruits including 2 oz. raspberries; 2 oz. cherries; 2 oz. cranberries, 2 oz. pomegranate and 2 oz. strawberries. In traditional Hash House style, the pancakes are oversized, and even a pinkish hue. For the entire month of October, the restaurants are donating $1 from the sale of every ’Cake for the Cure pancake to the fundraising efforts.

“It’s great to be able to assist Las Vegans participating in Susan G. Komen’s 3-Day walk with our very berry-licious ‘Cake for the Cure pancake,” said Jim Rees, owner of Hash House A Go Go. “Our Chef created a delicious and health-conscious pancake for everyone to enjoy.”  Broeland added, “We are always happy to have support from Hash House A Go Go and are so appreciative to be receiving their funding in such a tasty, fun and educational effort.  There are many walkers from Las Vegas and I am so proud that even though we don’t have a 3-Day walk in Las Vegas, locals can still help in the search for a cure by walking in this amazing 3-Day event.”
