WHAT: Marquee Cares Hosts “Text to Give” at Marquee Mondays to Benefit The Shade Tree in Honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month
MARQUEE CARES will host “Text To Give” on Monday, October 1 at Marquee Nightclub to benefit those in need through The Shade Tree. While October honors the fight against domestic violence as symbolized by the color purple, Marquee Monday will offer the perfect setting for partygoers to revel for a cause.
Nevada leads the nation in women’s lives lost during domestic violence disputes. Yet with a simple text, participants can help save lives and better the Las Vegas community. Before gaining access into the nightclub, text TST to 501501 to give a $10 donation to The Shade Tree. After receiving the confirmation text, show it at Marquee’s entrance to receive complimentary admission and a complimentary drink.

The Shade Tree is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of women, children and their animals affected by domestic violence in the Las Vegas valley for over twenty years. As the only organization with an animal shelter on campus, named Noah’s Animal House, The Shade Tree brings families together with their pets and connects them with assistance and services. The Shade Tree is the largest shelter of its kind in Nevada and is the only 24-hour accessible shelter designed specifically to meet the needs of women and children in Southern Nevada. With 364 permanent beds, The Shade Tree provides over 100,000 nights of shelter each year.
