GRAND CANYON GLAMPING RESORT UNVEILS LAST CHANCE RESTAURANT AND SALOON, STARGAZING DOMES
Resort Open for Year-round Outdoor Adventure
Grand Canyon Glamping Resort proudly unveils appealing new accommodations and amenities, making it the premier overnight stopover for travelers visiting Grand Canyon West and the world-famous Skywalk. Nestled amidst the breathtakingly spectacular Western landscape, the resort now offers luxury Stargazer Geodesic Domes, which offer unforgettable views of the Grand Canyon’s rim, as well as covered wagons, tents and tipis—plus the brand-new Last Chance Restaurant and Saloon.
In addition, dry camping options are also now available, and travelers can still experience adrenaline-pumping outdoor adventures departing directly from the resort such as helicopter, horseback and ATV tours.
The new Stargazer Geodesic Domes immerse guests in nature’s beauty like never before. By day, these luxuriously furnished domes offer panoramic views of the tranquil desert scenery stretching to the Grand Canyon’s western rim. At night, they transform into stargazing sanctuaries, where travelers marvel at the awe-inspiring skyline from the comfort of their king-sized bed. Each dome provides accommodation for up to six guests, and select domes are situated high on a bluff, affording outstanding views extending all the way to the west rim of the Grand Canyon.
At the newly opened Last Chance Restaurant and Saloon, hungry guests will encounter only the highest quality fare, including farm-fresh eggs raised on property and 1855 Black Angus USDA Prime and Top 2/3 Choice Beef. A robust menu includes breakfast staples such as omelets, pancakes and breakfast burritos; soups including broccoli cheese, chicken noodle and potato; appetizers such as battered green beans, chicken tenders, spicy cauliflower and jumbo onion rings; hot and cold sandwiches; chili cheese nachos and chili cheese fries; beef, bison and black bean veggie burgers; hot dogs, chicken wings and more.
For the perfect capstone to any glamping adventure, Last Chance Restaurant and Saloon also offers a fireside s’mores kit, including Hershey’s chocolate, cinnamon graham crackers, marshmallows, skewers, four lawn chairs (to be returned upon checkout) and firewood lit by the Grand Canyon host at the guest’s private fire pit. Beverage options include wines by the glass and by the bottle, imported and domestic beer and a full bar.
All glamping accommodations at Grand Canyon Glamping Resort come outfitted with plush bedding, heating and air conditioning and WiFi. Bathrooms, with or without showers, are also featured in select glamping units; onsite full bathrooms are available with other lodging options.
Wagons are spaciously designed to accommodate up to six guests and feature enough room for a king-size bed plus a futon or two bunk beds. Tipis can accommodate up to six guests and also feature a king-size bed plus a futon or bunk bed for ultimate comfort. Lastly, each glamping tent can accommodate up to six guests and includes a futon bed that unstacks for two individuals or combines for couples.
For travelers seeking to make the most of their visit, the resort features a growing list of world-class adventures departing directly from the lodging area. Each adventure can be added separately to a resort stay, or all three activities can be bundled together for the ultimate Grand Canyon experience. Select adventures include lunch. Current activities available at the resort include:
Helicopter Tours – Helicopter tours take passengers on a 20-minute flight directly over the Grand Canyon, flying 4,000 feet above the majestic Colorado River. As the helicopter descends 2,500 feet, guests will find themselves in between the walls of the canyon for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. All guests ages 2 and under will sit on the lap of a parent/guardian; children over 2 will sit in their own seat.
Horseback Riding Tours – On horseback riding adventures, guests will take in the beautiful scenic mountains with views of the Grand Canyon West Rim. Guests who opt for this activity enjoy a group tour exploring magnificent wildlife habitats and the resort’s ruggedly beautiful terrain. In addition, private group horseback experiences, including optional overnight adventures, are available. Private rides may be customized to include rodeo events, horsemanship clinics, roping, team pinning events and other horse activities.
ATV Riding Tours – This is the perfect tour for visitors looking for an exciting outdoor adventure in a short amount of time. In this motorized scenic tour, guests will ride through the Joshua Tree Forest while exploring a variety of terrain and spectacular views of the edge of the West Rim of the Grand Canyon. The tour is available with both ATVs and UTVs.
“Every moment at the resort is an adventure—from our heart-pounding outdoor activities to living it up at the saloon, stargazing from your bed or savoring the most extraordinary Black Angus ribeye money can buy after a vigorous hike in view of the Grand Canyon,” said Russ Mann, president and chief executive officer, Grand Canyon Glamping Resort. “Best of all, after a long day of excitement, visitors can experience luxurious accommodations and all of the comforts of home with our collection of new amenities.”
In addition, the Grand Canyon Glamping Resort also offers complimentary shuttle service from most Las Vegas Strip hotels for guests booking an add-on tour. Visitors strictly staying at the resort may also purchase round-trip transportation.
