The Charity Series of Poker is proud to announce their 3rd Annual Award Dinner and Tournament presented by Cirrus Aviation, Executive Casino Tours, Ivey Solutions and Lexicon Bank.
This charity poker tournament will take place at Via Brasil Steakhouse on Wednesday, February 12, at 5:30 p.m. The 3rd Annual CSOP Awards Dinner and Tournament will start with a full all-you-can-eat rodizio dinner and open bar. The Awards Ceremony will begin at 6:00 p.m. when we’ll be recognizing the sponsors, beneficiaries and players that make the CSOP so great.
Then there will be a turbo Texas Hold ’em poker tournament with a $300 buy-in and $100 rebuys/add-ons. Players will compete for a prize pool of $5,000 cash plus over $10,000 in donated prizes. The buy-in includes an initial chip stack, the open bar and dinner. The tournament will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Actress Katie Morgan, former NFL’er Melvin Fowler, Jay Wasley of Ghost Adventures, Joey Hamilton of Ink Masters, and comedian Joe Stapleton are expected to attend, along with poker personalities Mike Matusow, Joe Ingram, Matt Savage and Anthony Zinno. Local artists Sean Keith, Janel Raihl and Nate Hananger are also expected to attend. Comedian Gabe Lopez, host of The Dirty at 12:30, will be the emcee for the evening.
Players who don’t wish to play in the poker tournament can still support the event by joining us for dinner and the open bar for a $100 donation. The event will also feature meet and greet opportunities, a 50/50 cash raffle, and a silent auction.
All event proceeds will benefit the Charity Series of Poker. Since 2014, the Charity Series of Poker has been helping nonprofits raise money through fun and effective charity poker tournaments. What started as a grassroots volunteer side project has become the premier national series of charity poker events. Since their inception, CSOP has helped their beneficiaries raise more than $6 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Three Square and other food banks, Habitat for Humanity, Make-A-Wish, the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation, the Raiders Foundation and more.
“The Charity Series of Poker represents my life’s work, and it means the world to me to be able to bring together the poker community, nonprofits, celebrities and sponsors to play my favorite game for amazing causes that truly make this world a better place. It’s important to recognize the incredible contributions that these people, charities, and sponsors make and it’s my honor to present these awards each year.”
