LAKE MEAD MOHAVE ADVENTURES ANNOUNCES START OF “SECRET SEASON” FOR BOATERS, OUTDOOR ENTHUSIASTS
Discounted Boat Rentals, Perfect Fall Weather, Secluded Coves
Just in time for cooler fall temperatures, Lake Mead Mohave Adventures (LMMA) announces the start of its “Secret Season” for boaters and outdoor enthusiasts. Visitors are invited to enjoy the refreshing waters of Lake Mead and Lake Mohave and autumn’s perfect weather with SunChaser Pontoon Boat rentals available at all LMMA marina locations, exclusive Houseboat Hotel offerings and up-close views of the Hoover Dam on its Hoover Dam Rafting Adventures tours.
Available for single or multi-day rentals at Callville Bay Marina, Cottonwood Cove Resort & Marina, Temple Bar Resort & Marina and Willow Beach Marina & Campground are LMMA’s SunChaser Pontoon Boats. Ideal for large groups or families, each boat can accommodate up to 12 passengers. Each boat comes equipped with surround-sound stereo systems, large canopies and comfy, lounge-style seating, and are available for daily rentals beginning at $400.
In addition, LMMA is currently offering 20 percent off its Houseboat Hotel experiences at Cottonwood Cove Resort & Marina and Callville Bay Marina. Beginning $600 per night with a two-night minimum stay, guests can enjoy the experience of being on a houseboat without needing to pilot one out of the marina. LMMA’s entry-level, 50-foot houseboat model can accommodate up to six guests and includes two bedrooms and one bath. In addition, the houseboat features a fully equipped kitchen, bed linens, TV and DVD player, canopied top deck and gas barbecue grill.
Lastly, October and November offer ideal temperatures for guests looking to experience LMMA’s Hoover Dam Rafting Adventures tours along the Black Canyon National Water Trail. Tours feature up-close photo opportunities at the base of the Hoover Dam as well as a journey down the Colorado River upon motor-assisted inflatable rafts. Expert guides also share their knowledge of this magnificent geological area and the local fauna, including the desert bighorn sheep, osprey and great blue heron in their natural settings.
“October and November are absolutely the best months for exploring Lake Mead and Lake Mohave,” said Chad Taylor, director of sales and marketing, Lake Mead Mohave Adventures. “The weather is ideal and the water temperature continues to stay warm enough for swimming and boating through the end of November. Best of all, many visitors don’t know this is an ideal time to visit Lake Mead National Recreation Area, so for guests who do choose to rent boats, they’ll enjoy crystal-clear coves all to themselves.”
