Wineaux to Pour Exclusive Wines by the Glass
For National Wine Day
Wineaux, the recently opened “wine market, bar and escape” located at UnCommons across from the new Durango Casino Resort, will open its reserves for National Wine Day on Saturday, May 25, and offer guests an opportunity to sip select rare wines. As wine lovers across the country pour a glass of their finest for the special occasion, Vegas locals can stop by Wineaux to explore an array of bold flavors and iconic brands that are not typically offered by the glass.
Master Sommelier Nick Hetzel will feature a lineup of four singular wines on the National Wine Day menu: Gusbourne’s 2018 Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine, an elegant and pure expression composed entirely of chardonnay grapes which lend a citrus aroma with notes of green apple, white flowers and a natural, lingering minerality at the finish, priced at $32; Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey’s 2021 Saint-Aubin chardonnay, an intense, mineral-driven expression from one of Burgundy, France’s most prestigious vineyards, challenging the palate with a complex mix of citrus and stone fruits along with notes of lime and apricot, priced at $44; Jean-Louis Chave Sélection’s 2020 Farconnet syrah, a smoky and mineral-accented profile from the Hermitage appellation of France, offering vibrant blackberry and boysenberry notes that lead to a harmonious finish, priced at $30; and Ashes and Diamond’s 2018 Mountain Cuveé No. 3 red, a rustic blend of cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc from California’s Santa Cruz Mountains, presenting a silky rich texture that hints at its oak treatment and elegantly structured tannins, priced at $40.
Wineaux distinguishes itself as an exploratory, one-stop wine destination where guests from all backgrounds can discover flavors at a tasting table, enjoy small bites from a carefully paired menu, pick up a unique bottle from a masterfully curated collection and participate in an engaging monthly wine club. Wineaux is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Monday; and from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Wineaux’s multi-tiered wine club memberships can be purchased online here or in person. Gift cards are also available to purchase online here or in person.
