Cure 4 The Kids Foundation Presents 5th Annual “Bowl 4 The Kids” Event

August 1, 2015 Event at Sunset Station Benefits Kids in Nevada with Catastrophic Diseases

It’s that time of year again to get your bowling gear out and get together to raise funds for kids in Nevada who are fighting catastrophic diseases and don’t have the medical insurance or financial resources to pay for medical treatment.

The Cure 4 Kids Foundation’s 5th Annual “Bowl 4 The Kids” will take place on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at the Strike Zone Bowling Center inside Sunset Station, 1301 W. Sunset Road, starting at 1 p.m.

Bowl 4 The Kids raises funds for children in Nevada who are living with diseases, such as cancer, rare and ultra rare diseases, rheumatological and genetic conditions, and who are uninsured or cannot pay for medical treatment.

“Last year was the first time our event sold out, ever,” said Dawn Marie Pavuk, Director of Business Development for Cure 4 The Kids Foundation. “Bowl 4 The Kids is always so much fun and we appreciate all our supporters and sponsors who are raising funds for kids most in need.”

Registration for Bowl 4 The Kids is $25 per bowler, which includes three bowling games, t-shirt on bowl day, pizza, DJ, treats, face painting and more! Patients are free

Bowlers can register by contacting Becky Stephenson at (702) 691-5716 or [email protected]

A registration form may also be downloaded at bitly.com/Bowl4TheKids2015 and delivered or mailed to Cure 4 The Kids Foundation at 3121 S. Maryland Parkway, Suite 601, Las Vegas, NV 89109, with a check for the registration fee.

In addition to bowling, there will also be a raffle, silent auction and bake sale to help raise funds for the cause.

Bowlers and supporters can also sponsor a patient’s sibling to bowl so that he or she can join in on all the fun. $25 sponsors one child. Please call Dawn Marie Pavuk for more details at (702) 732-0952.

Cure 4 The Kids Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which oversees and provides funding to its clinic, The Children’s Specialty Center of Nevada, the state’s only nonprofit specialized pediatric outpatient treatment center. The foundation also raises funds for the Charity Care Program, which ensures specialized medical treatment is available to all of Nevada’s children. It is Cure 4 The Kids Foundation’s mission that no child be denied care at their clinic due to a lack of financial resources or medical insurance.

About Cure 4 The Kids:

The Children’s Specialty Center of Nevada and the Hemophilia Treatment Center Of Nevada are funded, in part, by the Cure 4 The Kids Foundation. The 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization was founded in 2007 by Dr. Jonathan Bernstein to ensure children with life threatening illnesses received proper medical attention regardless of their family’s income or presence of health insurance. To date, more than 8,000 patients have been treated by physicians and medical staff at the Children’s Specialty Center and Hemophilia Treatment Center. The Children’s Specialty Center provides medical treatment to children facing devastating diseases such as cancer, rheumatological diseases, as well as rare and ultra rare diseases. All our providers are Board Certified in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. The Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) of Nevada is the only Federally recognized HTC in the state. It is one of 140 HTCs around the country which provides individual services to children and adults with inherited bleeding disorders. Studies show people with Hemophilia who are treated at Federally recognized HTCs have lower overall healthcare costs, lower hospitalization rates and lower mortality rates than non-HTC users. The Cure 4 The Kids Foundation’s Charity Care plan ensures patients at The Children’s Specialty Center and the Hemophilia Treatment center receive medical treatment regardless of family income or presence of medical insurance. www.cure4thekids.org
