Immersive Opera Experience to Take Place at Local Art Museum on June 16
The Rita Deanin Abbey Art Museum will offer an innovative opera experience led by vocalist and visionary interdisciplinary creator JU-EH at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 16.
“Milk Tea Opera House” is JU-EH’s vision to redefine the term “opera house” for the next century. It is also an initiative to create opportunities to influence the dimensionality of voice in the context of time and space in today’s social context.
During the 90-minute session, participants will immerse themselves in Abbey’s artworks and participate in a sonic operatic collaboration event. The session is designed to be an interdisciplinary, interactive, and intriguing experience for creative thinkers, cultural wanderers, and root seekers. Each “Milk Tea Opera House” session is a site-specific and individualized creative process with JU-EH and a group of participants. Musical actions will reveal shapes between the internal voice and the external sonic environment throughout the session.
