Angelo Versace is an award-winning jazz pianist celebrated for his technical brilliance, deep musicality, and unwavering commitment to the jazz tradition. Winner of the 2012 Phillips Jazz Piano Competition, he has been praised as “a fleet-fingered keyboard dynamo” (Lawrence Budman) and “the next star on the jazz scene” (Dwayne Dolphin).

Versace has collaborated with some of the most respected names in jazz, including Lewis Nash, Take 6, Joe Saylor, Troy Roberts, and Warren Wolf, and has been a prolific sideman, featured on recent recordings like West By Northwest, Live at the Ravenscroft (Cellar Live Records), Dave Potter and Retro Groove: 2 (Square Biz Records), and Something Sarah (Desert Vinyl Records).

His versatility extends beyond performance—he is also an accomplished composer, arranger, and educator, currently serving as Associate Professor and Director of Jazz at the University of Arizona. Influenced by jazz greats such as Mulgrew Miller, Harold Mabern, and Shelly Berg, Versace’s style seamlessly blends tradition with contemporary innovation.

Lewis Nash is a legendary jazz drummer whose career spans over four decades, earning him a reputation as one of the most recorded musicians in jazz history. With over 500 recordings to his name—including 10 Grammy-winning albums—Nash has performed alongside jazz greats such as Oscar Peterson, Dizzy Gillespie, McCoy Tyner, and Sonny Rollins.

A Phoenix native, Nash first gained international recognition in the early 1980s as a member of Betty Carter’s trio, setting the stage for an illustrious career. His mastery of rhythm has made him a sought-after performer, educator, and mentor, with teaching roles at The Juilliard School, the Vail Jazz Workshop, and Arizona State University, where he holds the title of Bob and Gretchen Ravenscroft Professor of Practice in Jazz. In 2012, The Nash, a premier jazz education and performance venue, was founded in his honor in Phoenix, solidifying his impact on the jazz community.

Philip Kuehn is a highly accomplished bassist, arranger, and composer who has performed with Harry Connick Jr., Wynton Marsalis, Jon Batiste, Branford Marsalis, and more. His bass work is featured in the GRAMMY-winning Disney/Pixar film Soul, and he collaborated with Quincy Jones on a special arrangement for Beethoven’s 250th anniversary.

A former member of Batiste’s Stay Human band, Kuehn has appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and performed at the White House in 2022. His arrangements were featured on Christmas with Jon Batiste, a Billboard-charting album. Raised in a musical family, Kuehn began playing jazz professionally at 12 in Pittsburgh. Guided by faith and his mentors, he continues to bring his artistry to audiences while residing in Eastern Pennsylvania.
