ITALY LAS VEGAS UNVEILS LUXE WINE EXPERIENCES, SEPTEMBER – DECEMBER 2024
Explore Italy’s Rich Winemaking Tradition Through Premium Vintner-Led Wine Dinners and Intimate Sip & Savor Classes at Park MGM’s Italian Marketplace
Eataly Las Vegas at Park MGM, the leading destination for authentic Italian cuisine and culture, is celebrating the artistry of Italian winemaking with ongoing Sip & Savor wine classes and the launch of its “Uncorked Wine Dinner” series.
This fall, Toscana Ristorante & Bar will host a series of intimate, vintner-led wine experiences showcasing historic producers from Tuscany and Barolo, while Sip & Savor explores Italy’s diverse wine regions. Eataly Las Vegas has curated an event for every oenophile, with offerings designed to span across a range of palates and preferences.
Uncorked Wine Dinner Series
Hosted in Toscana’s 10-seat private dining room, each event will showcase an array of prestigious vintages from distinguished Italian wineries. Guests will be treated to a multi-course menu thoughtfully paired with wines to enhance the distinctive flavors and will gain in-depth insights into each wine selection from a representative of the winery.
Reservations are available at Park MGM online. Upcoming dates in the series include:
- September 26 – Lamole di Lamole with Luigi Troccoli: The Lamole di Lamole Estate was founded shortly after the Second World War and the historic winery dates from the mid-fourteenth century. Guests will delight in a selection of wines that epitomize the heritage and finesse of Tuscany and Lamole di Lamole’s dedication to solely using natural substances and no chemical products in the vineyards. The average age of each vineyard is 25-30 years, with a “peak” of 74 years in the Il Prato site.
- October 18 – Borgogno with Damiano Sorato: Dating back to 1761, Borgogno is the most historic winery in Barolo with wines made according to tradition: spontaneous fermentations in concrete tanks and long periods of aging strictly in large, Slavonian oak barrels. The evening promises a journey through the renowned Barolo region and a tasting of enduring tradition and history, with guests experiencing a Borgogno 1982 Barolo Riserva.
- November 7 – Castello di Montepò with Tancredi Biondi Santi: Surrounded by forests, olive groves, and the small hills of Maremma, Castello di Montepò sits atop noble Tuscan land turned into legendary vineyards. Established by a family of authentic wine pioneers, the roots of this adventure date back to the 1800s when Ferruccio Biondi Santi planted the first vineyard in Montalcino. This event will highlight the estate’s wine, the hallmark of a tradition passed down through generations, and will be led by winemaker Tancredi Biondi Santi.
- December 5 – Tolaini with Lia Tolaini-Banville: Like the vineyards surrounding it, the winery at Tolaini Estate is an expression of both old and new. From stainless steel temperature-controlled tanks to fermentation in open-top fermenters made of French Allier oak, the old and new techniques increase the complexity of each wine. Guests will spend the evening with the Lia Tolaini-Banville, one of the most recognized women in the wine world who is heir of Tolaini winery and the founder of Banville Wine Merchants.
Sip & Savor Wine Classes
A continuation of the popular series, Eataly’s Sip & Savor classes at Chef’s Table offer a deep dive into Italy’s “micro-countries,” each with its own unique history, food, wine, and culture. Led by Eataly’s wine experts, these classes feature six wines from notable producers in the selected regions. Tickets can be purchased online. Upcoming Sip & Savor wine classes include:
- September 20 – Discover Hidden Gems: Embark on a journey through the hidden gems of Italy, a collective of great wines from unknown regions and varietals. These wines from Lazio, Marche, and Basilicata have a certain magic to them that is easy to indulge in, especially alongside a perfectly paired Italian bite.
- October 11 – Discover Piemonte: Discover the unique flavors and rich aromas of the Piemonte through a curated wine tasting with six wines paired with Italian bites. The region of Piemonte, meaning the foot of the mountain, is perched at the base of the Alps. Piemonte boasts the greatest number of classified wines and produces the most well-respected, aromatic Italian reds.
- October 25 – Discover Barolo: Lauded as the “King of Wines and Wine of Kings,” Barolo is made with 100% Nebbiolo grapes, a prized varietal grown in certified areas in the northern region of Piemonte. Across the world, the complex red wine is renowned for its elegant flavors and graceful aging. Guests will be able to taste and compare different Crus and vintages of Barolo in this educational class.
- November 15 – Discover Sicilia: Escape to Sicilia, the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, through exclusive wines originating from the region. The island of Sicilia is famous for many things: savory cuisine, rich history, and culture of passionate people. Thanks to its incredible diversity of geography and climate, Sicilia is also the birthplace of some of Italy’s most intriguing and cutting-edge wines.
- December 6 – Discover Toscana: Tuscany is famous for many things: premium wines, rich art & history, and a culture of passionate people. This class will delve into two specific variations of well-renowned Tuscan wines: Chianti and Brunello. Chianti, a food-friendly Italian red wine, is the most celebrated Italian wine in history. Brunello di Montalcino features bold fruit flavors, high tannins, high acidity, and is awarded Italy’s highest DOCG classification.
Eataly Las Vegas is located inside Park MGM and can be accessed through the casino floor or directly from Las Vegas Boulevard. The venue is open daily from 11:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
