L.A. Comedy Club inside The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower is doubling down on laughs this February with a lineup of powerhouse comedians. With acts like Shang, Greg Wilson, Erik Knowles, Sebastian Cetina and Paul Ogata lighting up the Dragon Room, plus comedians competing in the World Series of Comedy, this month is packed with humor, talent and a touch of competitive spirit. The L.A. Comedy Club, dubbed “The younger rebel brother of Improv” by Casino Player Magazine, has been entertaining Las Vegas locals and visitors since 2007. Known as the spot “where comedy comes to party,” the repeat gold “Best of Las Vegas” award winner has relocated its famed Dragon Room to a custom-built 270-seat showroom on the main casino floor at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower.

 

Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a guardian. No minors under the age of 15 are allowed in the showroom.   • 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, starting Saturday, Jan. 4: “Murray’s HairLarious Deceptions”

MURRAY aka. Murray SawChuck with over 3.5 Million Subscribers and over 6.5 BILLION online views as Comedy’s #1 Social Media Influencer and Viral Sensation. He has been on the Las Vegas Strip as a headliner for the last 23 years! He just released his first 1-hour comedy special and has his 2nd coming out this year. Recently awarded Silver for “Best Comedian” in the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s 2024 “Best of Las Vegas,” Julio Gonzalez, a rising star in the comedy scene, is known nationwide for his storytelling comedic style using his life experiences such as weight loss, relationships, society, women and living life to the fullest. Gonzalez also uses his platform and talents as a comedian to help others through his various charity shows and is committed to being the change he wants to see in the world.

  • 8 p.m. Monday through Sunday: Nationally Touring Headliner
  • 10 p.m. Thursday through Monday: Butch Bradley

Comedic veteran, Butch Bradley, grew up in Atlantic City, New Jersey and started his comedy career by becoming a founding member of the Boston Improv Troupe. Bradley has been the opening act for comedic legends like Ray Romano, Lewis Black and Cathy Ladman and has appeared on HBO, Comedy Central, has been a regular on “The Late Late Show” and toured festivals such as the “Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival,” the “Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival” and made an appearance as a USO Entertainer. Bradley has received multiple awards for “Best Comedian,” including three consecutive golds and a bronze from the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s “Best of Las Vegas” awards. Bradley’s comedy special, “Butch Bradley: From Las Vegas” is currently available on Amazon Prime. He can also be seen on the big screen in the recently released film “Reagan” starring Dennis Quaid.

  • 10 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday: Bret Ernst

Bret Ernst, born and raised in New Jersey, was one of four comedians featured in “Wild West Comedy Show: 30 Days and 30 Nights—Hollywood to the Heartland,” has appeared on television shows like “Comedy Central Presents,” “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” “Weeds” and has a recurring role on Netflix’s hit series, “Cobra Kai.” Ernst’s jokes are rooted in storytelling, giving the audience an inside look at the life of a typical North Jersey Italian kid in the 1980s.

  • Monday, Jan. 27 through Sunday, Feb. 2: Shang featuring Alex “KoolAid” Ansel

Stand-up comedy star, Shang, is an outspoken New York native who is not afraid to tackle social and political issues. The 2011 Famecast Comedy Winner, Shang has been featured on numerous comedy programs including CBS’ “The Late Late Show,” HBO’s “Def Jam & Poetry” and Comedy Central’s “Jamie Foxx Laffapaloolza,” among others. He has also been a two-time winner of BET’s “Comic View Grandstand.” His credits also include guest roles on NBC’s “Heroes” and CBS’ “CSI” and “NCIS” as well as feature films “Divine Intervention” and “Trunked!” He has released several international specials and his “Shang is SHANGRY! Live in NYC” premiered in 2020 on Amazon Prime.

Alex Ansel, also known as “Koolaid,” is a Texas native and spent the majority of his adolescence perfecting his video game high scores. Known as a major nerd in middle school, he was given the nickname “Koolaid,” which stuck. Koolaid draws his comedy from his everyday life. As an overweight guy from a Hispanic community who dresses like a rapper, has two dads, plus has family in the military, the topics for his sets are endless. His experiences has earned him the titles of RAWartists “Performer of the Year in San Antonio, and “Funniest Person in South Texas,” becoming the youngest comedian to have ever received the award. Koolaid has appeared on CBS, NBC and FOX affiliates in his hometown of San Antonio. He has also traveled and performed at the Boston Comedy Festival.  He was recently handpicked to open on tour with Hall of Fame Pro Wrestler Jake “The Snake” Roberts for The “Unspoken Word Tour.”

  • Monday, Feb. 3 through Sunday, Feb. 9: Greg Wilson featuring Jeremy Curry

Greg Wilson is a stand-up comedian and actor based out of Los Angeles. Wilson has performed on “Comics Unleashed” with Byron Allen and “Comedy. TV” on Showtime as well as some guest appearances on wildly popular television shows including “Modern Family,” “Law & Order,” “Hawaii Five-O” and “Bones.” Wilson was also the star of Geico’s “parkour” commercial, which ran nationally in late 2024. His impressive television career also includes three seasons of “World’s Dumbest” on TruTV, two seasons on VH1’s “The Greatest” and many other shows found on MTV, E!, TLC, TV Guide Network and more. Wilson also runs a stand-up comedy academy, The Comedy Institute, where he offers courses on storytelling, handling hecklers and other skills necessary for a successful career as a stand-up comedian.

 

Jeremy Curry brings the heat to wherever he goes. Coming from the Bay Area of California, he is known for always pushing great humor and comedy when taking the stage. Jeremy can be found touring throughout the state of California and on the road with Kevin Singh.

  • Monday, Feb. 10 through Sunday, Feb. 16: Erik Knowles featuring Joshua Higuera

Erik Knowles, a Texas native and former U.S. Marine, honed his comedic craft in San Diego where he climbed to the top ranks of the city’s extensive comedy scene over the course of 11 years. During his live shows and popular comedy albums, Knowles shares his experiences with parenthood, medicinal marijuana and the dangers of technology as well as his light-hearted views on politics. He has appeared on “Tonight” in San Diego, “Laughs” on Fox, “Man-up Stand-up” on Hulu and many others. His achievements include the “Veteran Achievement Award” at the San Diego Comedy Festival, “Best Comedian Award” at the Veterans Choice Awards and first place in 2016’s “The World Series of Comedy” in Las Vegas.

 

Joshua Higuera, a Los Angeles native, spent almost a decade serving in the United States Army plus an additional seven years working in a state prison. Higuera noticed that he had a natural talent for making people smile with his stories and unique perspectives on life. He took a chance at stand-up comedy and never looked back. Higuera has performed on leading platforms from improv stages in California to bustling stages in New York to the entertainment capital of the world, Las Vegas. His clever, feel-good charisma has led him to captivate audiences all over the world and aims to produce shows for veterans and correction officers.

  • Monday, Feb. 17 through Sunday, Feb. 23: Sebastian Cetina featuring Mike Eshaq

Sebastian Cetina is a seasoned comedian known for his high-energy, edgy and improvised stand-up performances that leave audiences gasping for air and wanting more. With appearances on Que Locos, Comic View and The Latino Laugh Festival, he continues to wow crowds with his signature blend of improv, crowd interaction and unforgettable characters. His versatility extends to hit radio shows and sports talk programs, where his talent for impressions and dynamic personality shine. Always unique, no two of Sebastian’s performances are ever the same, cementing his place as a standout in the comedy world.

 

After one tour with the United States Marines, Mike Eshaq traded in the rifle for a microphone. Eshaq uses the unique angle of being Arab American serving in the U.S. Marines and a Muslim who loves bacon in his comedy. Eshaq has made a name for himself in the world of television and comedy. You can find him on Comedy Central’s “Detroiters” and Netflix’s “Grace and Frankie”. He also made his debut on P. Diddy’s “Funny AF” on REVOLT TV. His TV experience led him to become a self-taught filmmaker and created the award-winning ​​video “MTV Cribs – Arab American Style” and the web series “The Ed and Moe Show.” Eshaq has performed at The Comedy Store, Hollywood Improv, Mark Ridley’s Comedy Classic, Rick Bronson’s House of Comedy, Funnybone, Cleveland Improv and The Dirty at 12:30 in Las Vegas, among others.

  • Monday, Feb. 14 through Sunday, March 2: Paul Ogata

Paul Ogata was born and raised in Pearl City, Hawaii before moving to Los Angeles in 2006 to devote more time to stand-up comedy. In 2004, Ogata won the title of “Funniest Asian-American Comedian in the U.S.” in the TakeOut Comedian Competition and won the prestigious San Francisco International Comedy Competition in 2007. Ogata has been seen on Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham,” “Comics Unleashed,” CBS’s “Late Late Show” and debuted his stand-up comedy album “Paul Ogata Stands Up: Live in Hong Kong” in February 2010.
