COUNTRY SINGER-SONGWRITER CHARLES WESLEY GODWIN TO PLAY BROOKLYN BOWL LAS VEGAS, JUNE 1
West Virginian country singer Charles Wesley Godwin will be making a stop at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas on Saturday, June 1 on his tour celebrating the release of his third album,” Family Ties” which was released Sept. 22, 2023.
Godwin ‘s passion for music started when he learned to play guitar and practiced songwriting while studying finance at West Virgina University. His first album, Seneca, was released in February 2019, described by Saving Country Music as “a love letter to West Virgina.”
His second album, “How the Mighty Fall,” which was released 2021, focused more on telling the stories of others, while this third album focused on his family. “I decided I was going to write about my life and my family. It’s where my heart was guiding me: to be super personal and dig right into the weeds of my life.” Godwin stated about “Family Ties.”
Godwin’s cover of Gillian Welch’s song “Winter’s Come and Gone” was featured on The Hunger Games: The Ballads of Songbirds & Snakes soundtrack, which was released Nov. 17, 2023, along with the film.
