HONOR THE LITTLEST HEART HEROES FROM CHILDREN’S HEART FOUNDATION DURING NATIONAL HEART MONTH WITH FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES AT BUDDY VALASTRO RESTAURANTS
Local charity announces month-long fundraising initiatives with Buddy V’s Ristorante, PizzaCake, The Boss Cafe by Buddy Valastro and Buddy’s Jersey Eats
Be a big heart and support a little heart this February for National Heart Month. Children’s Heart Foundation honors the little heart heroes throughout the month with a variety of activities from dining out, rocking red on social media, and raising awareness and funding for the one in 100 kids born with congenital heart defects. For 2023, Children’s Heart Foundation has partnered with Buddy Valastro Restaurants to raise funds for their integral programming which includes financial, emotional, and educational support for families affected congenital heart disease.
For Buddy Valastro Restaurant’s Corporate Executive Chef Bryan Forgione, the Children’s Heart Foundation is personal. Forgione’s youngest son CJ was born with a congenital heart defect that required surgery within the first year of life. Now eight years old and a second surgery under his belt, CJ is the family’s heart hero and the driving force behind Buddy V’s involvement with Children’s Heart Foundation.
Buddy V’s Ristorante guests can dine and give back now through the end of February knowing that $3 of every lunch and $4 from every dinner will go to Children’s Heart Foundation. The prix fixe dinner is $38.95 for lunch and $48.95 for dinner. The special menu includes choice of appetizer (Caesar Salad, Lobster Bisque or Grandma’s Meatballs); entrée (Chicken Parm, Grilled Salmon, Chicken Fettucine Alfredo or My Mother In Law’s Shrimp Scampi); and dessert(Cannoli or Tiramisu). Buddy V’s Ristorante is located at the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Las Vegas.
Throughout the month, diners at PizzaCake at Harrah’s Las Vegas, as well as The Boss Cafe by Buddy Valastro and Buddy’s Jersey Eats at The LINQ Hotel + Experience can donate to the organization at the register.
Congenital heart defects are the most common type of birth defect in the United States, affecting nearly one percent of―or about 40,000―births per year. More than 50 percent of all children born with a congenital heart defect will require at least one invasive surgery in their lifetime. Congenital heart defects are a leading cause of birth defect-associated infant illness and death. Children’s Heart Foundation takes donations throughout the year including gift cards and toys for Maggie’s Garden, monetary donations to help with transportation and lodging, and more. Additional donation opportunities can be found online at www.chfn.org.
