Green Valley Grocery Wraps “The Giving Pump” Initiative, Donates To Three Square Food Bank

Green Valley Grocery donated $49,000 to  Three Square Food Bank on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, concluding its “The Giving Pump” initiative at the end of October. Over 80 gas stations participated by donating proceeds from specially marked, purple gas pumps without extra costs to customers. The donation was presented by Rick Crawford, founder of Green Valley Grocery, at the Three Square campus.

As part of Shell’s Force For Good initiative to drive positive change in communities, The Giving Pump campaign pumped over 1.6 million gallons from September 2 to October 31, 2024. For context, a typical busy gas station pumps around 1.2 million gallons annually, meaning this initiative moved the equivalent of a year and a half’s worth of fuel through the purple giving pumps during the campaign period.
