 The UNLV baseball team (19-26, 10-14 MW) will head over to the Golden State this weekend for a three-game Mountain West series against Fresno State (24-24, 13-14 MW) set to begin Friday at 6:05 p.m. The series will continue Saturday afternoon at 3:05 p.m. and the finale is slated for Sunday at 1:05 p.m.

The Bulldogs enter into the series after a 2-2 week, winning two of three games against UNR over the weekend before falling to Cal Poly on the road Tuesday evening.

UNLV comes in after securing a series win against New Mexico over the weekend, taking two of three games.

2023 REMATCH

– UNLV and Fresno State played a three-game series earlier this season in Las Vegas when the Bulldogs swept the Rebels, including two extra-inning wins.

– Jacob Sharp is currently on a five-game hitting streak.
– Kade Higgins has a four-game hitting streak.
– Rylan Charles is currently on a five-game streak for runs scored. 

ON DECK
The Hustlin’ Rebels will return to the friendly confines of Earl E. Wilson Stadium for their final three regular-season games Air Force scheduled to begin Thursday, May 18 at 6:05 p.m.

HUSTLIN’ REBELS CLAIM WEEKLY AWARDS
– Reese Lueck received the first Mountain West Player of the Week award for the Rebels this season, being named the Freshman of the Week following UNLV’s perfect opening weekend February 20. Lueck claimed the freshman honors again on May 8 after securing his first career save and a series victory over New Mexico.
– Junior Noah Carabajal was named the Pitcher of the Week following a series victory over UNR on April 10.

LEADERS IN THE MW AND THE NATION
– UNLV is tied for 10th in the NCAA in triples per game (.43), is tied for 11th in triples (20), is tied for 18th in sacrifice flies (29) and ranks 20th in double plays per game (.93).
– The Hustlin’ Rebels rank second in the Mountain West in triples (20), and sit third in RBIs (283), hits (442), and runs (328). They also rank fourth in slugging percentage (.430) and doubles (87).
– Alex Pimentel leads the conference and is tied for 15th in the NCAA in triples (5). He is also tied for second in walks, tied for third in both on-base percentage (0.452) and sacrifice flies (3) and is tied for fourth in the MW in HBP (8).
– Sharp is tied for second in the MW in sacrifice flies with four, tied for third in fielding percentage (0.993), tied for fifth in home runs (9), tied for seventh in runs scored (40) and tied for eighth in slugging percentage (.569).
– Charles sits second in the MW in HBP (10), ranks fourth in runs scored (44), is tied for fifth in stolen bases (8) and sits sixth in at bats (187).
– Austin Kryszczuk leads the conference and is tied for 20th in the NCAA in sacrifice flies (6). He also sits fourth in the MW in walks (27).
– Paul Myro IV is tied for second in the conference in fielding double plays (32), ranks third in assists (139) and is tied for fourth in the conference in HBP (8).
