This Wild Life is a two-piece acoustic band comprised of two drummers Kevin Johnson and Anthony Del Grosso who met in the early 2010s and realized that although they were raised on opposite ends of the country, their musical journeys were strikingly similar. The duo listened to a variety of music ranging from blink-182 and Dashboard Confessional to Earth, Wind & Fire and Snoop Dogg. Fast forward about a decade when Johnson met Del Grosso and started a band together. They tried many singers to no avail until one day Del Grosso encouraged Johnson to sing for the band. The pair grinded as a local band and managed to pack local venues, but never was caught on by the major music industry. Del Grosso expressed he wanted to play acoustic music solely moving forward and sold his drum set. Afterwards, they flew across the country to record a full-length record called “Clouded (Deluxe Edition)” and changed their careers forever. In 2016, Del Grosso and Johnson get back in the studio with a batch of songs unlike their previous record called “Low Tides.” With the expertise and guidance of producer Ryan Hadlock (The Lumineers, Vance Joyce), he helped the band explore unique instrumentation to feature in future records.
